Barone Management acquired this 25,000sf asset in early 2025.  A troubled asset, with multiple leases in default, Barone was able to execute a complicated rescue deal and complete a lease with Wildflower Charter School.  We then renovated a building that had been long starved of capital investment in a span of less than 60 days to get the school open in time.  This building is now the long-term permanent home for the school.  Situated in the nation’s poorest congressional district (NY-15), Wildflower New York Charter School provides access to high-quality, tuition-free Montessori education. With less than 1% of New York State’s students attending public Montessori schools, Wildflower stands out as a beacon of opportunity, serving students who consistently achieve high national percentiles in ELA and Math.
