The Woodworks is a large-footprint, full-block mixed-used industrial and office development in Hunters Point, Long Island City. Named in honor of the site’s 40-year history as a cabinet and fine millworks factory, The Woodworks blends a historically tailored outer façade with a modern and capable inner core. The Woodworks is the first spec office and industrial project to be built in Long Island City in over 30 years and is designed to serve the small-to-mid-sized business that make up the backbone of NYC’s workforce.
Ground floor warehouses featuring high ceilings and an abundance of natural light are topped by two floors of flex space/offices, all of which have private outdoor roof terraces, 14’ ceilings and loft windows. A thoughtfully designed wood paneled lobby greets entrants, and all of the tenants have access to an expansive public roof terrace with pergolas and lounge style seating areas.
Construction was completed in March of 2021, and the property is currently in lease-up. Most recently, Barone Management is proud to announce that The Woodworks in LIC has been selected by the Queens Chamber of Commerce as a top construction project for the 2021 Building Recognition Awards. The Woodworks building was only one of 29 construction projects in Queens that was recognized by the honorary Chamber of Commerce for exceptional construction and design.
