Barone Management acquired this long vacant parcel in late 2023, and then broke ground in the summer of 2024. Our team completed a state of the art ground up facility of 63,000sf in under 13 months! This building is now the permanent home to Merrick Academy and set to open in the first Quarter of 2026. One of the oldest charter schools in NYC and the first in Queens. A stellar educational program, including a full athletic facility and two outdoor turf fields, this project has fulfilled the dream of the Merrick team- providing a home for over 900 elementary and middle school students.
