Part of Barone Management’s two-school campus at the site of the former Dominican Commercial High School for Girls in downtown Jamaica, Queens, this elementary school allows for students to learn in an architecturally significant and historic building that has been upgraded with the modern components necessary to provide a first-rate education. With a 100+ year history of educating the children of this community, the building has been repurposed to serve a new generation of Queens families.
Growing Up Green Charter Schools’ mission is to empower children to be conscious, contributing members of their community through a rigorous curriculum and engaging in green culture. Graduates of Growing Up Green Charter School will be prepared to attend high-performing schools where their interdisciplinary academic foundation, knowledge of sustainability, and strong sense of self sets them apart as leaders of the future.
